CSN Safeguarding Training Day 2026
Saturday 28th November 2026 from 10am to 3pm – Zoom – God willing.
Morning session 10am-12 – Safeguarding update training
The morning session will be a safeguarding update suitable for everyone, including current DSLs and ecclesial and organisational leaders.
We will cover a range of safeguarding themes, including:
- Scriptural principles behind safeguarding
- Understanding common types of abuse
- Safeguarding children and young people online
- Safeguarding children with SEND
- Supporting adults at risk
- How to record disclosures
- The importance of self-care and prayer
Afternoon session 1-3pm – DSL Networking
The afternoon session is aimed at ecclesial DSLs and organisational leaders. We will discuss safeguarding in more detail, and provide an opportunity to network, discuss the remit of the DSL role, share good practice, and build on insights from the morning session.
